Blair Lag Project
Blair Lag Project is a Classic server run by Blakhart, populated with a large number of bots.
The bots are the point. There are a lot of them, and they are capable of genuinely impressive combat behaviour rather than the wandering targets bots are often assumed to be. That makes for a full, busy server without a lobby of other players in it.
Why play there
Section titled “Why play there”Not every session needs to be competitive. Blair Lag Project is aimed at giving players a calm and quiet place to play when PvP isn’t the mood you are in — somewhere to fly around, practise, or just have a game without the pressure of a PUG or a full pub.
It is also useful if you want to work on something specific. Bots will keep a match running while you practise routes, skiing or shots, without needing enough people online to fill a server.
Playing there
Section titled “Playing there”The server appears on the JOIN tab once you have the game and a community patch installed — see Tribes 2 for setup.
Being a Classic server, it plays to the Classic ruleset rather than Base. The modding handbook covers the difference in Classic and AI bots.
